Paul McAndrew - Chief Executive Officer

Paul is founder and Chief Executive Officer of Aerofoil Energy Ltd and the inventor of AerofoilTM technology. He is a display refrigeration specialist with a wealth of experience in the commercial refrigeration sector gained over 20 years including working as Business Development Director of Norpe U.K. Ltd. Over the past 15 years Paul has launched seven UK start-ups in the refrigeration and technology sectors and also co-founded a distributed computing platform.

Darren Shapland - Chairman

Darren has unparalleled experience in the retail sector. He is Chairman of Topps Tiles plc, NotOnTheHighStreet.com and Moo Print Ltd, and is also Non-Executive Director of Ferguson plc and chair of their audit committee. He has previously served as Chairman of Sainsbury’s Bank, Poundland Group plc and Maplin Electronics Ltd and was Non-Executive Director of Labrokes plc. Darren was Chief Financial Officer of J Sainsbury's plc between 2005 and 2010 before being appointed Group Development Director, a position he held between 2010 and 2011.

Bob Hurley - International Business Development Manager

Bob is former Group Head of Refrigeration and HVAC&R at Tesco. He is a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager with extensive experience of delivering engineering solutions in a pressured retail environment. He achieved significant results within his Tesco Group remit across a broad range of engineering disciplines including refrigeration, HVAC and lighting.

Emily Baty - Operations Manager

Emily worked in the fund management industry for 14 years having qualified with Ernst & Young as a chartered accountant. She was Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Hermes Investment Management Ltd managing a variety of large operational projects. In her previous role as Finance Director of Hermes’ real estate business she was responsible for all financial management, reporting and planning.

Dean Frost - Sales Director

Dean is a Retail Refrigeration specialist with 25 years' experience in the food retail sector in the UK and internationally. He is current Managing Director of A1 Engineering Solutions and former Managing Director of Space Engineering Services. He has advised and supported some of the world's largest food retailers with product innovation and selection whilst working with some of the country's leading refrigeration contracting businesses.

Nicholas Burke - Chief Financial Officer

Nicholas became involved at the start of Aerofoil Energy's development and has arranged four rounds of equity to help fund the company’s rapid growth. He now oversees the company’s financing strategy, including funding for major client projects, ongoing product development work and associated patent execution. Nicholas has a background in investment banking and government audit. He previously headed up the global project evaluation work of the International Finance Corporation (part of the World Bank Group). Over the past ten years, he has advised many of the major International Development Finance Institutions on investment evaluation strategy.

Williams Advanced Engineering - Technical Partner

Williams Advanced Engineering is the technology and engineering services business of the Williams Group and technical partner of Aerofoil Energy Ltd. The Williams team includes business managers, CFD engineers and senior aerodynamicists with extensive F1 experience and a team of senior design engineers who all contribute to the ongoing success of the partnership with Aerofoil Energy. Williams are committed to addressing the sustainability challenges of the 21st Century.

Steve Griffin - Senior Project Manager

Steve has 35 years' experience in the UK refrigeration and air conditioning industry worked as a refrigeration and air conditioning consultant and design engineer for various businesses. He has significant experience managing large scale projects and is responsible for the roll out of AerofoilTM technology across the company’s client base. In previous roles he has managed refrigeration refits and roll out programmes for a number of large UK food retailers.

Gregg Chapman - Project Manager

Gregg has a broad range of management experience including in the tourism, leisure and hospitality, and the mental health and social care advocacy sectors. He has worked previously as an English language teacher in Japan and a sound therapist within children’s special needs schools in the UK.

MaryAnn Downing - Customer Service Manager

MaryAnn has six years' experience in a customer service role in the refrigeration industry. Previous to this she spent seven years working in education as Education Facilitator at the David Lewis College.

Claire Alkaya - Customer Services Coordinator

Claire worked in a senior support role in the Aerospace industry for 7 years as Customer Service Coordinator for Senior Aerospace BWT. She previously spent time working in Turkey teaching English languages.
